These are not your grandmother’s thank you notes...

Opening my mailbox for an unexpected letter, handwritten by friend with just cheery notes about their lives. A doughnut on my desk with a Post It note saying thank you from a work colleague. Or discovering new things like a postcard chocolate bar that I can send to a friend and give them a giggle.

Thanks, Eh Post is really just that moment where you’re reaching out, trying to brighten someone’s day, or thanking someone for brightening yours.

My platform’s concept is that it simply reduces the barriers to those deeper moments of thank you and gestures brightening someone’s day.

Sometimes that hassle of rushing the post office to find a stamp or a card, doing an Internet search for a gift or figuring out what to say in a difficult situation such as a death in the family becomes a barrier, and then those connections are not made and both parties lose that beneficial moment.

So try out my platform see what you think. See if spreading that sparkle, reciprocity and a simply practical form of gratitude and well-being brightens your day.

Thanks, eh.

Picked with care

The term “thanks, eh”, comes from the Canadian habit of adding “eh” for emphasis (such as “it is cold today, eh”), and a sense of mutual agreement. By adding the “eh” to the thanks concept of the business, it is emphasising that deeper thank you, that pause for recognition.

The “Post” comes from the old-fashioned mail systems, as well as our modern use to “post” a social media item - blog, photo or story. It is a a term of “action” - reminding us to make that gesture. Humans have been giving each other tokens, gifts, welcome gestures and exchanges to emphasise that moment of connection for eons. What is unique about Thanks Eh Post is it simplifies that very human gesture, adapting the personalisation to our modern lifestyles.
